He has demonstrated proven capability to shepherd novel technologies from creation to commercialization. Al has been CEO/Senior Manager of 6 biotechnology start-up companies and has held C-level/VP positions at 3 other life science companies including Pfizer.
Richard Berenson - Acting CFO
Richard has been CEO/COO of ten companies, CFO/Treasurer of more than five companies, and helped form InCytu to commercialize David Mooney’s technology. He has been leading organizations and developing practical, break-through strategy for more than twenty years. Rick has worked across a broad range of industries and can master new technologies and markets with speed. Rick received a JD-MBA from Harvard Business and Law Schools in 1984 and is a graduate of Harvard College.
David Mooney - co-Inventor
David Mooney is the Gordon McKay Professor of Bioengineering in the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University. His laboratory is focused on the design and synthesis of materials that define microenvironments, or niches, that regulate the fate of either transplanted cell populations or cells already resident in tissues. Dr. Mooney is a Fellow of the American Institute of the Medical and Biological Engineering, a NIH MERIT awardee, the recipient of the Clemson Award from the Society for Biomaterials, and has received the NSF CAREER award. His inventions have been licensed by eight companies for development and he is active on industrial scientific advisory boards.
